We rolled into Maine and set up camp in a large campground in Trenton, a short drive from Bar Harbor. Our first stop was Acadia National Park, a 47,000-acre area located on the Atlantic coast. There are rocky beaches and glacier-formed granite peaks. One of those, Cadillac Mountain, is the highest point on the East Coast.

We visited the summit of Cadillac Mountain where we got a good taste of the coming winter. It was cold.

We then ventured into the town of Bar Harbor to explore, shop and have lobster rolls.

Last stop in Maine was the village of Stonington. Really a quaint town along the water. Had a nice lunch and wandered around.

Lobster
A trip to Maine isn’t complete without fresh lobster. We stopped at a little shop on the way home and picked our lobsters. See the video – fresh lobster before.
Here they are after. Cooked and tasty.
