Traverse City is one of our favorite places to visit in Michigan. We headed there for a few days to see Jeff’s dad and stepmom again. They were visiting for the annual Traverse City film festival.

We found another gem of an RV resort – the Traverse Bay RV Resort. Very nice, and again, we had a nice water view location.

It was a fun couple of days exploring the quaint downtown area.

Jay Leno was performing at Interlochen – a performing arts college nearby – so we got tickets for the show. What a riot! Jay Leno is very funny, and he does a 90 minute show that is just joke after joke.

The best part came after the show. As we were walking to our car out in the boonies, Jay and his driver pulled up to say hello. We talked with him for a good ten minutes. He was intrigued by the RV lifestyle and we discussed California’s helmet law which Jay had opposed and actively lobbied against. It was really a treat.

Next stop, the Upper Peninsula!
