On our way to Door County we passed through Green Bay, so we stopped for the night and had dinner at Vince Lombardi’s Legendary Sports Bar & Grill. It was a fun atmosphere with sports memorabilia lining the walls. The best part, the 49ers game was on the televisions.

Some describe Door County as “the Cape Code of the Midwest.” It sits on a long peninsula that juts into Lake Michigan along the eastern coast of Wisconsin. Our destination was a small town called Baileys Harbor.
We had a nice, relaxing time as we toured around the peninsula. We visited Cave Point, a spot known for its underwater caves and wave-worn limestone cliffs.

In the town of Baileys Harbor, we found a farmers market where we loaded up on fresh vegetables.

Then we topped off the weekend with a dinner on the shore at Fred & Fuzzy’s Waterfront Bar and Grill. Great food and a wonderful evening.
